Geri “Nana” Fotsch is a beloved local philanthropist who describes her main profession as “the proud matriarch of a large and beautiful family.” Her marvelous career as a mom and nana now spans eight children, 31 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren (and two more on the way!).
Named a Milwaukee Business Journal Women of Influence winner in 2019, Nana supports Catholic and educational causes throughout the community in her role as president of the Fotsch Family Foundation. As Nana often states, “I truly believe education is the answer.”
Nana is a strong believer in the value of Catholic, Jesuit education and proudly funded the Blessed Virgin Mary Grotto on Marquette University’s campus, which was dedicated in 2019. She has a dear love for her Marquette scholarship recipients and believes in the ability all of us have to touch a person's life in a positive way.
In addition to Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, the Fotsch Family Foundation supports multiple non-profits in Wisconsin and across the country, including Women’s Care Center, Children’s Wisconsin, Ronald McDonald House, Kathy’s House, Fisher House, Medical College of Wisconsin, Operation Finally Home, USO, Milwaukee
Rescue Mission and the Salvation Army.
